About Email Aptitude

Email Aptitude provides a strategy-focused approach to email marketing. We like to crush records and help clients improve their email efforts through strategic services and full-service management. Our services aim to help clients with top-level strategic support while their internal team executes, or with full-service email management where we become your remote email department.

Based out of Redlands in Southern California, our team is comprised of email strategists, designers, and seasoned programmers.  We focus on email – all day, every day, which allows us to offer our clients focused expertise and meaningful services.

Forest Bronzan
CEO & Strategist
With over 10 years of database and strategic marketing experience, Forest brings a wealth of knowledge to Email Aptitude clients. He has led strategic and technical development for an international software startup, pioneered the email marketing service line at a leading marketing consultancy, and has worked with companies around the world to improve their email and online marketing programs. With a passion for building long relationships and a vibrant company culture, Forest is hands-on with many aspects of Email Aptitude.

Brian J. Smith
Strategist
Brian brings over a decade of experience in the online space with an extensive background in advanced email strategy and management. He is a popular presenter at marketing conferences on topics such as dynamic personalization, behavioral retargeting, and advanced segmentation in integrations. With impeccable organizational skills and an ability to transform email programs, Brian brings a lot to the table for Email Aptitude clients. Outside of work, Brian likes to read about technology and marketing.

Zlatica Ilin
Strategist and Project Coordinator
Zlatica brings a strong passion for online marketing and email strategy. Prior to working with Email Aptitude, Zlatica was a junior marketing specialist for a technology company and was an online marketing coordinator at a leading ski resort. Zlatica has an eye for detail and many great ideas for our clients.

Xiaohui Wang
Strategist/Intern
Perfect SAT score? Check. Dean’s list at Duke University? Been there done that. Xiaohui, “X”, is an up and coming marketing superstar with keen analytical skills and a passion for everything ecommerce. A valuable contributor to client strategy, Xiaohui is involved with everything from strategic planning to account coordination and execution. Outside of work, he trains regularly in Brazilian Jujitsu, so don’t go picking any fights.

Eric Davis-Hawkins
Designer and Coder
A background in both programming and design have created a versatile mix of software proficiencies which Eric readily puts to work for EA's clients. A former Creative Director for a successful web design firm, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Media, Eric has an experienced eye for design and has logged hundreds of projects.

Jenna Hozeska
Lead Coder
With a B.S. in Marketing from San Diego State University (Cum Laude and 7 semesters on the Dean’s List), Jenna is our lead coder! She works tirelessly to implement flawless HTML code for email along with advanced dynamic coding projects. Well versed in multiple coding languages, Jenna is also a master of multiple ESPs.

Brad Ackerman
Designer
With a background in graphic/web design, branding, business development and strategic marketing, Brad adds a versatile skill set to Email Aptitude client projects. Extensive experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Indesign, Dreamweaver and other programs allow him to meet the needs for any creative project. Brad has a stellar balance of form and function which adds great value to client projects. Outside of work, Brad enjoys traveling and exploring new restaurants.

Martha Ormiston
Designer
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film, Photography, Video, and Visual Arts, Martha plays a big role in EA’s creative arm. With a passion for design and intense attention to detail, Martha leverages her cross-functional design experience for client emails. When not designing emails, she enjoys spending time with her beautiful kitten Suki and doing arts and crafts.

Delisa Williams
Designer
With a B.F.A in Communication Design, Delisa brings a fresh perspective to the design table. She has worked with Apple Inc., been a Program Director/Producer at a radio station, and has worked on a variety of design projects in different mediums. Outside of work, Delisa loves going to concerts and hanging out with friends.

Benny the Poodle
Dragon Slayer
Benny works tirelessly to make sure the EA team's morale is at its highest at all times. Using his talents for finding silverware in the sink, sniffing out every crumb on the floor, and making sure that everyone who visits the offices is inspected before entering, and fighting off dragons, Benny keeps the EA team safe and sound. When not greeting fans, Benny enjoys pinot noir, long walks on the beach, and nature films.
